Mixed Jobs Making for More Work

The painters are here today and I am just tipping back a few beers. I am enjoying the nice weather. I work at home and I do web development. I am a webmistress. That just sounds so posh, doesn't it? I like the sound of it so I like to use the term. But I am a relatively complicated person and I like to think that I do a good job at what I do.

Lately I have also been helping out with the family DSL business. Our brother-in-law has a company that leases phone lines and provides high speed internet to customers. I have been volunteering my time completely for free. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are in Ireland right now so I am helping out with their biz. They asked after I helped with the two week volunteering job a week ago. They acquired 200 new customers in about 72 hours and it was sheer madness (didn't see my kids for days at a time and averaged 4 hours of sleep per night).

So I am appropriately listening to "Mixed Up", the album by The Cure. It is an excellent album and it just happens to fix my situation as well. It is a mixed up thing I am in right now, with two jobs and the home painting thing going on, plus kids and the summer approaching. It's fine though and I am taking it in stride. I feel like we are just scums living in this place and it is all swallowing us up. So I sip my beer and ponder it all, watching the birds eat the seed I have placed for them outside.

I recently read that as more text is placed on a page, people do not want to read it. So, with that said, I will close this blog posting out. Just catching up on stuff as of late.
